TV Harvest Stock Control

This client came to me with a warehouse full of unorganised components from TV's, listing them manually on their OpenCart website and eBay and hoping they could find them once the sold.

After a re-iterative process of improving their systems over many years, the company is now going from strength to strength with staff costs being kept to a minimum due to automation.

I built custom software that connects their stock to OpenCart and eBay, upon an order coming in a stock area and location is printed onto a pick list. The other end of the input of the stock is now heavily automated removing the previous issues with user input error.

A dashboard has been provided to give the company owner sales insights to easily see week on week how staff and are performing.

OpenCart Development

A wide range of OpenCart development has been undertaken in the past. Ranging from data import, vqmod creation, modifying existing vqmods, creating new payment gateways

Full builds are considered in OpenCart, although being a backend developer i'm much happier working on customising OpenCart to get it to work exactly as you require

I specialise in increasing both the front and backend speed of OpenCart and have many case studies showing a direct increase in sales after an increase in page speed.

4x4 Parts Breaker

I was approached to assist in the data aspects of a website and eBay integration for a 4x4 parts breaker, the breaker was currently listing all parts on eBay manually and the website wasn't generating many sales

Working hand in hand with a digital agency we planned out the category structure and product naming of the new website to ensure that it covered all bases from an SEO perspective

Using web scraping techniques, i was able to pull together a list of all parts that fit every single vehicle, enabling the customer to simply check parts off on a list as they harvested them from the cars

Once the parts are in the software, they are sent automatically without any further manual input to both the website and eBay, once sold they are deducted from stock automatically and added to an invoice in their accounting platform.

The frontend of the website also integrated UK car registration lookups, to make finding the correct part for your car as simple as possible.

Birthday & Occasion Cards

This particular client was already ahead of the game in automation, using StoreFeeder to synchronise his stock across the various channels (Website, Etsy, eBay, Amazon)

However, they were using KashFlow as a central store for invoices and stock, this data was unavailable to StoreFeeder and also didn't provide the reports they required

The job started as a simple stock link with KashFlow and turned into a full reporting system for the business using KashFlow as the central store

To this day we are still working with the client improving the system and are in the process of launching a card customisation feature

Asbestos Survey Software

The client came to me as they were using a Microsoft Word template to populate reports for every single survey they conducted, this involved a lot of data entry and was prone to user error

A React/Node project was developed using a CouchDB database as the data store, this enabled the customer to take down all the details of the survey on site and feed the data with images back to the main office. The system also included a floorplan generator to sketch the layout of the room directly on a tablet on site, this can later be used to mark sample points for the report generation.

Once all the data has been collected and samples analysed, the system outputs a PDF in the same style as the original Word template with the simple click of a button.

Loft & Cavity Wall Insulation Software

Another client who came to me with a large collection of Microsoft Excel sheets, Access databases and Word Templates

After initial redevelopment of the Access database into a PHP based web app for managing customer leads and job completion, a number of years later and more and more of the companies data flows through systems i have built

The latest projects for this client were to integrate all their stock management into the CRM i have built and finally to build a mobile application that give installers a job pack and feedback progress on work throughout the day, with the eventual aim to go paperless.

Cyprus Property Website

One of my oldest clients, who i have worked with for over 12 years.

The business was starting from scratch as an estate agent in Cyprus, i was approached to build an estate agent website from the ground up

Multiple awards and a few redesigns later and the website is still standing the test of time to this day, with many improvements and interesting features added over the years.

The website relies on its founding principals of being fast, easy to navigate on both mobile and desktop. His clients give fantastic feedback about it being a standout website on the island.

Vape Wholesalers & Retailer

I work with multiple Vape Wholesalers and Retailers, KashFlow appear to have sold their accounting product well into the Vape industry as multiple customers use that service.

However, the user interface is clunky when creating large invoices with multiple products. This is where i came in and created a whole new interface for KashFlow using the API, all common tasks can now be completed within their own software with additional bells and whistles added.

The system varies between the clients, however all have some form of central stock management at its core and integrate with a variety of different e-commerce platforms.

Stock Imports / Stock Synchronisation

“Data Dave” I'm sometimes called, if you have some data and need it importing into a website i can almost guarantee I'll have done something similar before and can do it again for you.

Additionally if you want to keep your stock in sync between various systems, that's something i do an awful lot of as well.

Custom Exhaust Manufacturer B2B Portal

“Industry Leading Portal” was the phrase used once some of the bigger customers started using the portal i developed, sales increased and admin time was slashed

A B2B Exhaust Manufacturer was primarily selling exhausts via email, they did however already have systems in place in OrderWise to place those orders and manage stock production, after a lot of planning with the technical manager at the company, i was able to create a system that took the stock from OrderWise and placed it onto the website and also pushed orders directly into OrderWise.

The system also integrated UK car registration lookups, to make finding the correct exhaust for your car as simple as possible.
